Dee here, how is everyone? Did you all have a good weekend? I did because Carlton Blues finally won another match this season!
I’m a big Carlton fan, and am so happy to see them play such an intense and close game. I was listening to SEN on my home yesterday, and even the gents on the radio said it was the best AFL football match they’d watched this season! Woo hoo! I may be a little off topic, however AFL is an Aussie game and our company is about supporting Aussie business and local business, so why not mention AFL hey?
Carlton played against, what I think, one of the best supported teams at a match – Port Adelaide. Have you ever watched the start of their matches? Whether it’s their away game or home game, their supporters always stand up, with their scarves held up high and sing “Never tear us apart”. Every time the Port fans do this, I always think, “WOW, if our Blues fans supported our players like that every game, it would give them the confidence and little push that they need”.
I mean, how pumped would you feel if your supporters serenaded you each time you ran onto the field like that? I know I would be inspired to strive for a win.
Then it makes me think about Australia and our Australian people and citizens. If all Aussies supported our industries like this, they would be thriving and would lift a lot of business’ from the lows that are floating around at the moment. I don’t mean for all Sales staff to go to their customers’ doors and start walking in singing “Never tear us apart”…but I would think that customers would want to support their own country’s products and brands. Australian Made has done a great job advertising on billboards and now on the radio, advising us all to look out for the “Golden Kangaroo” so you know it is genuinely Australian. Our “Genat and Wood” brand is officially registered with Australian Made, so people, please support your local business. Buy Australian and Use Australian.
Keep jobs in Australia going and support your locals. We have an Aussie chant for a reason…Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!
