History of Amiga Engineering™ Pty Ltd
Amiga Engineering™ Pty Ltd was founded in 1988 by two brothers – Michael and Dale Bourchier in East Keilor. (This was during the time when mobile phones were the size of a brick, and would only last about 1 hour) Amiga Engineering™ was primarily an outlet for machining Pipe Flanges, Fittings and special components. Rapidly, Amiga Engineering™ has grown to becom a successful, reliable and reputable engineering company servicing the Oil & Gas, Mining, Petrochemical, Marine, Medicine, and Defence industries.

In 1995-96, Amiga Engineering™ moved to its current location, in Tullamarine. More staff were brought to the table, including another Bourchier brother (Guy Bourchier) for a short time. Over the next few years, the company began to expand through the bringing together of some former employees and customers.
Amiga Engineering™ later acquired Bradley Technologies, a medical component manufacturer.
In 2009 Amiga Engineering™ acquired Genat and Wood™, one of the last Australian industrial gearbox
companies.
Amiga Engineering™ have been modernising its workshop and intercompany mergers.
Amiga Engineering™ is now the sole manufacturers of genuine Genat & Wood™ gear boxes; including helical gear boxes, reducers, surface aerators and mixer gear boxes for local and international clients. Amiga Engineering™ also retained the Australian agency for Varmec Gearboxes and Variable Speed
Drives.
Amiga Engineering™ Pty Ltd survival through the past years has been a direct result of our service and satisfaction that our customers have appreciated. Quick turn around, breakdown and emergency situations are part and parcel of our ability to service whenever it is required.
