Job Summary

Our company is looking for someone to help run and operate our high-quality metal printers and finish part manufacture. Amiga is actively seeking someone who comes from a CNC machining/fitter background who wants the ability to progress further by extending their capabilities to Metal 3d printing. Using DPM and SLM processes. The successful candidate will be the application specialist/printer operator/application engineer. You must be a hands on worker with a mechanical mind.


Duties include:

  • Grinding and cutting parts for finishing of product
  • Grinding and cutting parts for removal from built trays
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support via phone and email
  • Work with customers to promote and sell products & services of metal additive manufacturing
  • Perform other operational duties as required
  • Installing, client/customer training of additive manufacturing processes & products, diagnosing and repairing

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications


  • Experience in use of equipment such as; automation, computers, NC, CNC machining and fitting,
  • Hands on experience such as: use of manual hand tools, tool making, grinding and cutting parts for removal from build trays are essential
  • Current experience handling the technical functions of computer systems, networks or telecommunications equipment
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software
  • 3D Expert, Material Magix, Solidworks and/or Edgecam
  • Any experience with other applications; 3D modelling, reverse engineering

  • Current drivers license essential
  • Demonstrates ability to apply logical, methodical, investigative approaches to isolate and solve complex problems
  • Proven strong verbal English communication skills as well as excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • CAD/CAM software experience is a must
